playing a set with my partners in crime the trilliogy. well be playing a genre hopping set moving up through the bpms starting with house and finishing with a bit of drum and bass.

other acts preforming that night are mainly bands preforming covers and there own original material. i think were the only djs there.

we also are going to be learing how to video dj for this gig the visuals should be insane!!!!!!!!!!

the last set i played was in rochester kent at an event called the secret garden party. mainly a house night i played half the opening set going b2b with my old friend karma logic we  played more soulful house and oldskool garage. we also played the closing set we split this set in half karma logic played first rinseing the oldskool garage. then i was up and finished playing drum and bass. it was a really good night to be honest caught up with a few old friends and had a boogie along the way.

I have been quite busy since my last update. i have collaberated with orbit-sounds on three tracks all drum and bass but all unique in there own way. check them out on my sounds page!!!

In 2014 we are recoring two bands called midnight noise and the stone martins. midnight noise like to play a variety of music from elvis presley to norgaard by the vaccine's. the stone martins consist of 3 woman 2 vocalists and 1 acoustic guitar they are a really individual band compared to the rest of the bands we could have recorded as the others have a more classic drumer bass, rythem guitar and lead singer set up.

2014 has started well in college me and the left side rollers have been recording bands in the studio. this is the first time any of us have recorded bands and it has been a mixed experiance with good and bad points but i guess that is how you learn what works and what doesnt. what i have learnt is being a producer/studio engineer is not just about being complacent with your gear and recording/editing techniques but much more than that. for instence managing a band is your role too as we missed out on a recording session because the band changed the song they wanted to record but didnt inform us so we didnt know the structure or bpm of the track so we cancelled that session.the next one was a bit better as we got most of the drums layed down just need a few bridges and an outro now. putting the drums down was a long process as the band was unsure of the structure and where the fills were ment to be but we got there inthe end.

We have another recording session tomorrow which should be more produtive as the band have told me they are ready to record and have a plan to be finished with the drums and bass and rythem guitar.

2014 so far..................
